Susan McGown is a director with the law firm of McGown & Markling Co., L.P.A.
While Ms. McGown serves as the Coordinating Director of the Firm’s Special Education practice, Ms. McGown also serves school boards in a wide-array of school law areas ranging from labor and employment, construction, pupil services, litigation, grievance arbitration, discrimination charges, policy revision, and general consultation.
As General Counsel for the Ohio Educational Service Center Association, Ms. McGown provides special education law consultation to a wide array of educational service centers and school districts through the School Law HotlineSM and other legal services.
Ms. McGown has served as a school psychologist and coordinator of special education for various Ohio school districts, and as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Akron School of Law. Ms. McGown is a frequent presenter on special education law throughout the State of Ohio.
